- Take a screenshot of the chat or profile, the way you always do.
- Tap the screenshot preview, then tap Share.
- Choose Fond in the row of apps.
- Tap Save. Fond takes his name from the top of the chat.
Next time you open Fond, it reads the screenshot on your iPhone. His note shows what's new.
How do I add a whole chat?
Open Fond and tap Add screenshots. The photo picker shows your screenshots, and you can choose several at once. Pick a few from one chat, and Fond builds his note from them.
Why can't I see Fond in the share sheet?
It may be further along the row of apps. Swipe to the end of the row and tap More. Tap Edit, add Fond to Favorites, then drag it up so it sits near the front.
Which apps can I screenshot?
Any chat or profile you can screenshot. That includes Hinge, Tinder, Bumble, WhatsApp and iMessage. If an app blocks screenshots, Fond tells you nothing was saved.
Which iPhones
Fond runs on Apple Intelligence, on the iPhone itself.
Which iPhones does Fond work on?
iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and every iPhone 16 or later. Fond needs Apple Intelligence, which runs on those models. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus can't run it.
How do I turn on Apple Intelligence?
Open Settings, tap Apple Intelligence & Siri, then turn on Apple Intelligence. Until it is on, Fond keeps any screenshots you share. It reads them once Apple Intelligence is on.
Why does Fond say Apple Intelligence is still getting ready?
Your iPhone is still downloading it. That can take a while after you turn Apple Intelligence on. Fond keeps your screenshots and reads them once it's ready.

How much does Fond cost?

Is Fond Unlimited a subscription?
No. You pay once. The unlock restores on any iPhone signed in to your Apple Account.
What happens when I add a second match?
Fond checks with you first. It asks whether the screenshots are from your free match or someone new. Screenshots of someone new wait in Saved for later, with no paywall in the way. Fond still checks them for anything that doesn't add up. Screenshots with no readable name are saved as Someone new and never count as a match. Nothing is lost. You can start his note once you have Fond Unlimited.
Restore and refunds
Purchases go through Apple and stay with your Apple Account.
How do I restore Fond Unlimited?
In Fond, open Settings and tap Restore purchase. It works on any iPhone signed in to the Apple Account you bought it with.
Why can't Fond find my purchase?
It may be on a different Apple Account. Sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy Fond Unlimited, then tap Restore purchase again.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account you used. After you buy, Fond's Settings also has a Request a refund row, which opens Apple's refund request.
What happens to my notes after a refund?
They stay. Fond never locks or deletes your notes because of a refund.
Red flags
Fond shows you the screenshots. You decide what it means.
What is a red flag?
A red flag points to one of three warning signs in your screenshots. His story changes between chats, he asks for money, or he pushes you to move off the app fast. Victoria Police and Scamwatch list all three.
Fond shows you the screenshots behind each flag. One flag on its own can be a coincidence. You decide what it means, and you can always slow down, ask a friend or unmatch.
Can I clear a red flag?
Yes. Tap Clear this flag. Nothing is deleted. The flag moves to Cleared flags on his note, with its screenshots, the date it appeared and the date you cleared it.
How do I bring a cleared flag back?
Tap Undo straight after you clear it. Later, open Cleared flags on his note and tap Restore flag. If his story changes again, Fond shows a new flag linked to the cleared one.
Will he know about a flag?
No. Flags stay on your iPhone. He never sees them, and Fond never shares anything about anyone.
What does Fond know about him?
Only what he tells you in the screenshots you share. Checking his photos, his identity and any video call stays with you. Safety advice suggests a video call and a reverse image search of his photos before you meet. It also suggests meeting somewhere public and telling a friend your plans.
Where does Fond keep my notes?
On your iPhone. Fond has no account and no servers. It reads your screenshots on the phone. We never see your chats, your screenshots or your notes.
What happens when I delete a note?
Fond removes the note and its own copies of the screenshots for good. Screenshots you picked from Photos stay in Photos until you delete them there. Until you delete his note, it stays, even if he unmatches or blocks you.
How do I delete all my data?
Use Delete all my data in Fond. It erases everything Fond keeps on this iPhone. Deleting the Fond app erases it too. Fond Unlimited stays with your Apple Account, so Restore purchase brings it back.
What happens to my notes on a new iPhone?
They stay on the iPhone where you made them. Fond keeps your notes out of backups and keeps no copy anywhere else. Fond Unlimited comes with you: tap Restore purchase on the new iPhone.
